Kathy Ireland Furniture: Animal Masks Wall Plaque Review

I am very happy with these. In many ways they were even nicer than I hoped; there is a level of clever detail to the masks. The stripes and spots of the giraffe, zebra and leopard are raised and shaped, giving asense of carving and quality craftmanship. I think the sellers might be wise to display close-up photographs to show these off a bit more. They are very solid; they were tied together with rope. I was able to separate them easily and hang them across a wall with other items. (the extra holes do not show). Each is about 6.5 inches high. I will enjoy living with them for a long time to come and the price was more than right!

Two issues that lost them the one star: first, I am sorry to say that the elephant head is a less clever interpretation, oddly unlovely and somewhat like a horseshoe crab; I set that one aside. Second, they do not appear to me to be carved wood despite title description. They do seem to be very solid and carefully designed resin. Interestingly, their weight almost gives them a feeling of ceramic, you can pretty much tell by their weight alone that they are probably not wood. However, the paint job makes them absolutely look like wooden masks unless you take them off the wall and inspect their backs very closely.
