i purchased 2 of these for my new home. when i received them i was less than impressed with the paint and the color combo. i took the glass out (which really wasn't that hard) and spray painted them both with an oil rubbed bronze color and put the glass back in. now they look so awesome and everyone who comes over comments on how cool they are. for the price it was a good deal, just don't expect it to look like a million bucks at first, they need some love and then they look great. in short, if you want a lantern of high quality look and feel, and you aren't prepared to help it get there, then this is not the one for you. however if you are willing to put in a little effort they look awesome.
