The backing on this item is cardboard. The tabs provided to secure the cardboard and the mat inside the frame are very poor quality. Several of them broke off during the first use. The hardware provided to hang the frame has to be installed by the user. It is just a few nails and some hanging wire. Not quality hooks like I had hoped for. The item is plexi instead of glass which is stated in the description. Overall this item gets the job done, but the overall quality was not that great.
