Kathy Ireland Furniture: Distressed White Wood Round Table Review

This table is definitely not worth the price.First, there are places on the top that are bulged out from screws being driven to far in.Second, the paint job is atrocious.It doesn't look antique or distressed at all.It looks like an elementary school art class project done with tempra paint.The paint does not hold up at all.If you put one thing on the top and it gets slid accross, the paint is ruined.Not that you can really put much on top because the top slants and leans if you have anything with much weight at all.The reason for this is that the spindle that screws into the tabletop and that the legs slide into does not center when you screw it in.It rotates in an elipse and ends up tilted.The cap on the end of the spindle that is there for decoration and to hold the legs in does the same thing when you screw it in and ends up way off center.This might work for some place where the table will be hidden and not really have anything placed on it, but it is definitely not worth the price as I could have made something better myself for close to the same amount.The picture looks great, but the table itself when you are standing next to it really does not.Always be skeptical when the picture is taken so far back and there are no close-up shots when it is supposed to be such a detailed table.Spend a little extra and look for something better.
