I bought this as a gift for a granddaughter, originally, but it arrived slightly damaged.It's top most spire had broken off, yet was missing from the original packaging. So, I kept it, and replaced the missing top piece with a small pearl, using glue. I might end by just giving it to my granddaughter, but not as a birthday, or Christmas gift--she just adores the Disney Princesses.It is very heavy, as well, yet so narrow at it's bottom, that it easily topples over at the slightest provocation--so, I have had to stand it inside a wider, flat glass lid, in order to help prevent that from occuring.However, the sides are so sweetly, and colorfuly decorated with the Disney characters, and over all the decoration is so lovely, that I have decided it was worth the price charged.The small clock is easily removed, and the battery should be easy to replace.It takes a watch-sized battery, which is easy to purchase.Plus, it's clock does keep correct time, which is always a good thing!Click Here to see more reviews about: Jim Shore Disney Fairy Tale Clock
