The box arrived in beat up condition, and the content looked like it had some minor scratches. It may have been a return and/or refurbished model. But given that it's almost half the price of the designer models (read bankrupt Sharper Image, or Brookstone)-it is still a bargain. And it's quite functional and works reliably. We had it 4 weeks now, and my pregnant wife which has swollend lower extremities loves it. It saves me from massaging her feet for 45 minutes every evening-more gaming time! Just kidding, don't hate me ladies. Seriously, I bought a lot of things for my pregnant wife and this item gets the most use. I've tried it and it's very comfortable and soothing. I enjoy massages of my calves and this feels similar to a strong masseuse doing the same thing. Those who read my reviews knows I love great things at low prices and this fits the bill.
