This chest of drawers is a little lightweight (like all modern furniture) but is perfect for what I needed: something inexpensive and taller than a TV stand to put my bedroom TV on - of course, it needed to match the color of my existing furniture. I removed the top drawer and used the drawer face as a shelf for the VCR and DVD.It was easy to put together.The drawers open and close very smoothly.The bottoms of the drawers are VERY thin particle board/pressboard, as is the back of the unit - it won't be good for items of any weight.It was shipped very quickly.The only mishap was that the shipping company dropped the box on its corner which resulted in a smashed front corner of the dresser top.I didn't bother to return it - just colored it in with some paint...Click Here to see more reviews about: Manhattan 5 Drawer Chest In Espresso Finish
